Helping defray the costs of treatment for cancer victims

Our Process

Worthy applicants are referred by participating physicians and office managers who have been working with the patient to manage their outstanding balance.

Applicants complete a personal financial statement and letter describing their personal circumstances (total cancer related medical bills, amounts paid or covered by insurance, etc.).

Foundation Trustees review applications and make grants twice a year based on financial needs and related circumstances.  We seek to grant at least 5% of the Foundation’s assets annually.  We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, color, sex, age, or disability.  It is our intention all worthy applicants be given equal consideration.

Grants are paid directly to participating physicians for the purpose of immediately reducing the patient’s outstanding account receivable balance. Physicians then match the Foundation’s grant  with a matching “in-kind” donation in the form of further reduction or elimination of the patients remaining balance.

There is no expectation the grant will be repaid.
